I am soooo sorry ! :)

Hey guys ! I am sooo sorry that i didnt write for a looooong time but i will tell u know some things about my musical performance and thanksgiving...

We had our musical performance the November 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th i think :)
So we had 5 ! performances and it was sooo much fun ! Every day we had full house and it seemed like the audience wouldve liked it :) I had so much fun behind the scenes to change dresses and talk to the other people behind the scenes ! I had to change my dress 4 times but there were a few characters who had to change more often ! I miss the musical and it was such an awesome experience !!

The days between that and Thanksgiving i was in the movies "breakin dawn" with a couple friends and Julia was at my house and I had school of cause ! But last week we just had 2 days of school because of thanksgiving and a teacher parent conferences. So I just chilled at home and we played games and watched movies...

Thanksgiving was at November 24th and the amricans are just thankfull for their land and everything so they eat to show that :) Since it was Grettas birthday on the 21st we celebrate thanksgiving and her birthday on the 25th (Friday) The whole family came to our house and brought a lot of food and presents of cause. So we had full house with roun 25 people i guess.

Sadly i dont have any pictures of the food cuz i was so busy eating it haha.
We had mashed potatos, corn, turkey, gravy, vergies and normal bread and cinamon bread that my hostmom and me made the day before :) It was sooo yummy !!

After Thanksgiving was over we put the rest of the christmas lights up and we pulled the christmas tree up! And if u believe it or not THEY DONT HAVE REAL TREES ! They are just PLASTIC ! :( that is soo sad but its pretty smart cuz u pay 60 bugs one time and u can use the tree every year :)

thats pretty much everything i can remember haha and i am sorry that i didnt write in my blog i have just so much to do :)

Halloween preparations, Movies & Wedding

Hey you guys ! I am so sorry that I didnt write for a long time but I had too much to do.

I will start to tell you about the 7th of october : I was carving pumpkins at Grandma Debbies with Gretta, Westin and Candice. First we had to pick a pumpkin and after I took the biggest pumpkin of all we had to carve them. That was so much fun, I just put my hand in it and tried to get everything out of it (that was slimy I can tell ! ) But still it was so much fun. Then I decided to cut a funny face in it and Ill show you guys later how my pumpkin looks like :)

The following weekend (14.10 - 16.10) was a lot of fun too ! :) I went to the movies at friday with a couple friends (Julia, Allison, Kevin and Garrett) and we watched "footloose". But it was not very easy to decide in which movie we should go cause there were too many...but after a while the Americans decided that the germans (that was me and Julia) shall decide which movie so we chose footlose. The movie was pretty much fun cause we talked the whole time about all kind of things but the movie. Haha. The movie was done at round 11:15 pm so we went home after it and I went to bed.

The next day I had another wedding but this time my hostmom asked me if I would like to ask Julia if she wants to come with us to the wedding, so I asked her and she said yes :) The church was very small and it had FLATSCREENS !! Unbelievable! After the church was over we went to the house of my hostmoms mom for a couple minutes and then we drove to the PARTY ! I have to say the food was delicious : Mashed potatos, corn, meet and for desert DAIRY QUEEN ice cream. We danced the whole night til our legs got sore and they played a lot of country music. ( I start to love coutry music! ) We also danced a few line dances , with that I mean dances everyone knew with simple steps it was awesome! After we got home at 1 am we went to bed but Julia and I werent very tired so we talked a little bit til we fell asleep.

Sunday was pretty boring instead of the skyping with my family ! And it was my big brothers birthday too so that was quite favorable that we skyped on that day. Because of my brothers birthday my Grandmom and other friends and relatives of the family were at our house so I was able to talk to each of them. That was funny :) haha

The school week is pretty much as always: School til 3 pm and after school Musical rehearsal.

So this weekend we had MEA that meand we had no school on Thursday and Friday ! So my hostmom and I went shopping down by the cities in an outlett mall. I bought soooooo many things and we had soooo much fun ! The highlight of that day was eating supper at "Mongos Grill" and it was sooo delicious !

On Friday we went down to my hostmoms mom and we made cookied (yummy) and at 8 pm Julia picked me up so we went to a haunted house in sauke centre. That was funny and not scary haha ! I asked the persons in the house "whats your name ? Is it fun to work here?..."  I had to do that because I didnt want to get scared and I had to go FIRST because Julia and her hostsister didnt want to go first...and after the haunted house julia and me went to Dairy queen :) haha I JUST LOVE IT

We went to my hostdads parents on Saturday cause we all helped cleaning the barn. That was kind of fun too but my arms got sore and i got blisters on my hands...but still...I had a little exercise haha :)

And today I just did nothing , so pretty boooooring, and tomorrow is school....AGAIN ! -.-

Homecoming, Wedding and Aspect Meeting

Hey guys :)
Last week we had homecoming and it was awesome ! Why does my german school not have something like this ?! It is so cool ! Well, the week was crazy cause the whole school was dressed up and stuff ! So we had different themes each day and on friday we all were dressed in the school colors purple and gold. In the 5th hour we had a prep fest and after that we had a parade ! It was so much fun to sit on those big car trailers and to throw with candy :) The musical group had its own trailer and we all had to wear our new musical shirts ! They are so adorable! After school we had musical practice and after that I went home to get ready for the footballgame and the dance afterwoards. The footballgame was so much fun ! I went there with my two german friends Johanna and Julia and my hostdad and my hostsister Gretta :) The dance started round 9 pm and ended at Midnight ! We danced the whole night and it was AWESOME !

On Saturday Candice, Jason and I went to a wedding. We stayed there til 00:15 and Candice and I danced so much that my legs hurt !

And today I had a meeting with my organisation at the Missessippi headwaters :) The weather was so freakin nice outside and it was soooooo warm ! So I finnaly met Lea again , it was so good to see her and the other exchange students. So after that program was finished Viivi (the finnish exchange student) , her hostdad , an italian exchangestudent and his hostmom and me walked a little bit around the headwaters and we took pictures from the orange trees , they are so pretty !

So I hope you can believe how tired I am right now :) Thats why I just put some pictures underneath and then Ill go to bed :) Good night everyone !! Vicky

News from Vicky :)

Hey guys

I'm so sorry that I didn't write for a long time but i just don't have many time 'cause I'm allways busy :) That's good though !

Okay, well where can I start..Oh I know...
I was sick last weekend that was not very much fun so I haven't done many things except sleeping and eating bananas ;)
But I was at the Pioneers day alltough I was sick :) You can watch old traktors and they have a parade with them. We also ate something called: "Tacco in a bag" It is soooo delicious!! And after that I had two friends over : Julia and Viivi , Julia is from Germany and Viivi is from Finnland. We watched High school musical and ate Pizza :) (As you've probably noticed I eat the whole day ! Just kiddin' )

So that was quite everything I did on my weekend...I also stood home on monday because I didn't feel very well but I was back in school on Tuesday.
The week was as normal as a week in school can be...same subjekts every day and after school I have musical practice . That is soooo much fun !! We've learned a new dance for the song "Bon Voyage" 

Yesterday (Friday, Sept 24th) my german friend Johanna and her hostsister had a sleepover and they invited me. It was so much fun, first we went eating in a gas station, after that we went to Wallmarkt and bought candy and then we drove to Johanna. It is soooo cool that 16 year olds are allowed to drive, I think they should change the laws in Germany ! So Ashley (johannas hostsister) drove us the whole time :)

Today Candice, Gretta, Westin and I put Halloween stuff in the house and in front of the house , it was fun! It's not even October and they start decorateing for Halloween !! WEIRD !! :)

Next week is Homecoming and I am soooo excited ! We don't have stuff like that in Germany ! They dress up every day and they have different themes like favorite Music star or dress up day. It's like the "Mottowoche der Abiturienten in Deutschland" :) And Friday is the Homecoming dance but we don't know yet if we have to dress up or just go in Jeans and Tshirt ..Oh and we (the musicalgroup) has to perform a dance on the parade :) FUN ! :)

First Week at High school :)

Hey Guys :)

My first week at High school is over and I can say one thing: I love High school !! The people, the teacher, the locker just everything !!!! At my first day at School I couldn't open my locker 'cause I didn't remember how to do the combination :) So I had to ask people around me everytime when I was trying to open my locker :) But they were all very friendly and did it for me :)

Everyday I have the same schedule that's kinda boring but it's good to see the same people everyday so it's easyer to get to know them :) I've already found friends , they are soooo nice and crazy but they are awesome !! :) After School I had to try out for the musical and I've sung "take a bow". It was sooooo awesome on stage and I love it! I had my little fanclub they were sitting in the front rows and they were shouting my name ... :) It was sooo funny ! After singing we had to act a little bit that was fun too :)

Today we had our last audition so they can decide who get which part in the musical :) I'm so excited to know what I'm gonna play !! Oh by the way the musical is called: "Anything goes"

Sadly I do not have pictures for you yet but I'll  make some and then I'll post them ! Promise !

And the Homecoming will be soon !! The musical group will perform on the homecoming , I'm sooo excited !! At the and of the Homecoming there will be a DANCE !!!  OMG :)

The first days in my new Home Minnesota, Melrose

Hey Guys ! I hope you are all fine in good old Germany :)
And of cause the one who are in America :)

I first want so write a little about the flight :
So we were 5 people from Germany who are gonna live in Minnesota so we all were in one plane :P So we arrived at Newark and a lady told us we had to go to the Check in right beside her...so we stood in the queue and wait...but then somebody told us we have to go to another Check in , which was far away :) So we took the little train and went there...
As we finally checked in we had to wait roud 3 hours til the flight starts. So we sat down in the waiting room .... the flight was still good, a liitle windy but we all slept in the plane so we didn't care about that :)

After round 3 hours flight we arrived in Mineapolis, Minneosta and we were all so excited so meet our hostfamilys so Lea and I went hand in hand to the familys :)
But my family didnt made it to the airport , they got lost so the hostfamily from Lea took me and we met my hostfamily at one parking place near the airport :)
We arrived at 1 pm and we all were very tired :) I got one welcome blanket with the Words " Welcome to amerika victoria! jason, candice, gretta and Westin ! Sooo sweet !! :)

The First day in Melrose was quiet boring :) I went to candices job with candice, she works in the high school I'll go to , thats quiet good because I had a few first looks at the high school :) so we were there the whole morning and i was very tired :) After that we went to the farm from The grandparents :) and i met them :) they are all soooo nice and friendly :)
and for dinner we had enchiladas ( i don't know how to write them correktly) :)

Today I was able to sleep a little bit longer so I'm not tired :) We went to the fan again and we bring Gretta and Westin there so Candice and I went to the town and she shows me the "city" After that we went to the school again and I got my classes and my locker :) It's so crazy to have a locker OMG :)
My classes are : US History , English , Foods (yummy) , Geometry, Study Hall and Concert Chorus :)
And I'll try out for Musical and maybe Cheerlading :)
So those were my first days in Minnesota :)

Hey Guys :)
First Id like to say that Ill try to do my next posts in English cause its easier for my hostfamily to understand this :)
Right now I'm in New York and it's awesome !!
The first day was the worst cause we've all been so tired when we arrived at the Newark airport, so we just wanted to go to bed :) (And luckily i share my room with Lea and Julia :) They are both soo nice and I love them so much :*)
The weather was not as good as everyone hoped on thursday but it was okay, a few raindrops fell down but we've handel the problem quite well :) We were on liberty island, the statue of liberty and the ground zero. It was an awesome day ! *_*
The next day the rain turned into sun so we had a great day in central park, at the times square and the rockefeller center :) I think that was the best day I've ever had cause the times square is so awesome you have nooooo idea !!! *___*

The normal program says that we had to leave New York at Saturday but instead of leavin, we have to stay in the Hotal at least til Monday cause the hurricane Irene will come so most of the flights have been canceled :( And so was mine ...

So we have to make the best of the situation :) Today we've stayed the whole day in the hotel and we watshed movies and did those kind of stuff ;) tomorrow we will do the same things :)

Zweiter Pack - Durchlauf

Soo heute haben meine Mama und ich den zweiten und hoffentlich auch den letzten Pack-Durchlauf gestartet :)
Er lief eigentlich ganz gut , da ich einfach die hälfte von den Anziehsachen ,die ich schon eingepackt habe, aussortiert habe und damit auch das Gewicht verringern konnte :)
Nur die Gastgeschenke mussten leider in ein Paket weichen und das wird dann direkt nach Amerika geschickt. Aber ich finde das eine gute Lösung :)
Mein Handgepäckrucksack bzw. den Rucksack für New York ist ein bisschen schwer geworden aber das macht nichts ;) Also kann es dann auch in 2 Tagen los gehen :) Ich freu mich schon total !

Abschiedsfeier :)

Hey Leute
Gestern war meine Abschiedsfeier. Sie war echt suuuuper toll und ich hatte sehr viel Spaß ! :) Meine Gäste bestanden aus meinen Eltern , meinen Brüdern, meinem Onkel Ulli und seiner Freundin, Meiner Patentante Elke mit ihren Söhnen, meinem Patenonkel Ashley mit seiner Frau und meinem Cousin und meiner Oma, also ein volles Haus wie man sieht.
Ich musste vor der Abschiedsfeier zu meiner Oma weil ich erstens noch einen Brownie-Kuchen dekoriert habe dass er so aussieht wie die USA-Flagge und zweitens wollten meine Eltern das Haus etwas schmücken und ich sollte das noch nicht sehen da es eine Überraschung werden sollte :)
Als ich dann mit meiner Oma und meinem Cousin nach Hause kam, war alles voll mit den Farben der USA Flagge :) Das sah echt toll aus !! Danke hiermit an Mama und Papa, das habt ihr schön gemacht ! :)

Wir haben einen tollen BBQ Abend gemacht und es war sehr lecker! Es gab typisch Amerikanische Burger und Fleisch ! Auserdem gabs dann noch zum Nachtisch dann noch meinen selbestgebackenem Kuchen und Eis :) Mhmhmhm

Erster Pack - Durchlauf

 So heute haben meine Mama und ich angefangen den Koffer zu packen :) wir haben alle möglichen Dinge die in den Koffer müssen doch das ist garnicht so einfach wenn man eine gegebene Menge angegeben hat (21kg) die man nur mitnehmen darf. Also haben wir ausprobiert wie es denn mit dem Gewicht klappen würde doch das ist eine echte Herrausvorderung! Bis jetzt sind in meinem Koffer alle Sachen verstaut eingeschlossen die Gastgeschenke und Abschiedsgeschenke und so :) Doch wie man auf einem Bild unten sehen wird wog mein Koffer leider 30 kg , also viel zu viel. Doch ich bin da ganz optimistisch :) ich packe einfach noch ein paar Dinge in mein Handgepäck und meine Gastmama meinte ich soll wenig Anziehsachen mitnehmen da in Amerika ja alles billiger ist und wir mit Sicherheut shoppeen gehen werden.
